The mission of the Legislative Committee is to help educate Trauma Coordinators, other Texas organizations, and elected officials of the need for legislation that supports improved access to quality trauma care for all patients. The Committee's function is to raise community and elected officials' awareness related to issues that will have an impact on trauma care including: funding for injury prevention programs, rapid access to quality prehospital care, initial and tertiary trauma facility care, and rehabilitation.
